This week we start off by covering the all female Ghostbusters reboot but quickly fall down the rabbit hole of geek news. We cover, among other things, another year without Game of Thrones book 6 and the trailer for season 5, Tyrese Gibson wanting to play Green Lantern, a new Toejam and Earl in development, the Fantastic Four trailer and even more seemingly disconnected topics.
Most importantly we discuss some game franchises that have been quiet for awhile and Metroid Prime and Mario Galaxy 2. We also breakdown some of the problems of the the original Mass Effect trilogy and what the next game can do to improve upon them. This all centers around Jeremy's lapse into nostalgia as he relives some old favorites from years past.
Finally we get an update on some Oscar contenders after the guys had a chance to watch a few more nominees. We give you a quick review of Whiplash and a take a closer look at the performances in Theory of Everything, Imitation Game and Birdman.
