Episode 96 - Injustice 2
It's just Julian and Daniel in the Tower this week as they discuss the latest in geek news. As seems to be the new norm, a few major trailers dropped since the last episode and are always worth discussing. Including Bladerunner 2049, Star Trek: Discovery and much more. In movie news, Sony surprised everyone by revealing that Tom Hardy has been cast as Eddie Brock in their standalone Venom movie, plus rumours swirl about who might take over as director of the much maligned Flash picture. On the TV side of things, it was a pretty big week, with most of the major networks announcing their fall lineups for their returning shows and some exciting news about some entirely new series. In the gaming world, Dan reviews Injustice 2, the second instalment of the DC themed fighter from the creators of Mortal Kombat. Episode 68 - Berlanti's TV Conquest
This week in the Tower we cover all the big comic book show renewals. Specifically what we've been loving about the CW's DC slate. Greg Berlanti, the mastermind behind Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and even Supergirl on CBS had ALL of his shows renewed for new seasons. Something I dont think anyone really thought could happen. We also discuss the future of Star Trek on TV and look forward to Daredevil (which hadn't yet premiered at the time of the recording). On the film front we discuss the announcement of Indiana Jones 5 for 2019, with both Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg returning. We then move onto breaking down the latest Captain America: Civil War trailer that featured our first look at the MCU Spider-Man. Of course there's always a little Star Wars news and this week we take a look at the "short list" of actors up for the role of a young Han Solo. DC had a few topics for us as well, with the big news being the casting of J.K. Simmons as the new Commissioner Gordon. Happy holidays to all of the Tower of Babble Nation. We got together early on a holiday morning to record a special year end episode for all of you. Most podcasts wait until the new year to do their top 10 lists but we decided to do something a little different. We compiled a list of not our top 10, but a list of our top 3 games, television shows and movies of 2014. A top 10 is easy, and inevtiably ends up with items you didnt really love at the bottom end. So we decided to make things tough on ourselves and restrict it to a much smaller number and put it up on Christmas Day.

Episode 45 - Star Wars, Suicide Squad and PSX
The guys sit down to discuss the Star Wars Episode VII trailer, which of course dropped the day after our last recording. There's a lot of optimism mixed in with some skepticism but overall we're all pretty excited for more Star Wars. We also breakdown the Terminator: Genisys trailer with our resident Terminator expert, Jeremy, who seems to be a bit worried about the direction the series is taking. But it wasn't all trailers to talk about, there was also some big casting news that was revealed over the last two weeks which included Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as the Joker as well as the rest of the Suicide Squad. We basically have a hard time finding anything wrong with any of those choices. Finally, the PlayStation Experience (PSX) took place in Las Vegas and we give our take on all the news coming out of that event and so much more in this weeks Tower of Babble Podcast.
