With Julian moving out of the current ToB Studio, it was only fitting that he sat down with Jeremy for a full no-holds-barred free-for-all episode to really go out with a bang! The guys discuss the recent demise of Netflix, and how it reflects on their less than recent lack of quality programming, dive into more Warner Brothers drama, talk about the genius of some of the great Hollywood directors, find a way to talk Star Wars (of course), and some of the news out of CinemaCon. All that plus SO MUCH MORE, on this very special episode of the Tower of Babble Podcast. We'll be back with a new episode very soon out of the new space, so make sure to tune in to the live show to see how it all looks!

Jeremy and Julian got together over the weekend to take in DC Fandome (find our coverage in the podcast feed), and they used some of that time to sit down and discuss the two biggest movies of the last few weeks; 'James Bond: No Time to Die' and 'Venom: Let There be Carnage'. As a huge Bond fan, Julian spills his guts raving about how Craig's final outing as the character brings back some of the more "fun" Bond elements that have been missing for a decade. On the 'Venom' side of things, the guys grapple with accepting the movie for what it is (a romcom with an alien symbiote) and their history with the character from other mediums. The consensus? It's bad? But it's also good? Either way, the real question is; what's up with that final scene?!?!

The movie industry is in a strange place these days. What with release dates changing on a regular basis and more and more projects moving to streaming. Among those projects are a few few movies we KNOW are coming soon, but we still knew nothing about. Both 'The Matrix Resurrections' and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home", are looking like locks to hit their release dates at the end of this year. Fortunately, we can start ramping into the hype with earnest as both movies recently dropped their first trailers. Julian and Jeremy break down each one and gage our levels of excitement for them before moving on to a discussion about the new 'Injustice' animated movie that was just announced (which also dropped a trailer). All that and so much more in this week's Tower of Babble Podcast!

Some people thought it was a myth, others assumed it was only an eventuality, the rest just got bombarded with the hashtag for 2 years, but against all odds, the “Snyder Cut” of Justice League is real, and it’s coming to HBO Max. Julian, Jeremy, and Dan discuss the exciting news and debate over how to process it all while trying to considering it in context of the vocal minority that made it happen (not as easy to do as you might think). The guys also dive into the latest Tennent trailer and ponder if it’s the last best hope to save movie theatres in a post COVID world. Speaking of which, AMC vs Universal Pictures is also discussed before moving onto to some less depressing news from the galaxy far far away, with the announcement of Taika Waititi taking on a Star Wars feature film of his own. All that and so much more in the latest Tower of Babble Podcast!

It’s Julian and Jeremy in The Tower this week as the two review a bounty of DC related content, including the season finale of Titans, CW’s big “Elseworlds” crossover event, and of course the latest instalment in the much maligned DCEU, Aquaman. The guys also briefly touch on some Marvel news coming from Netflix, Kevin Feige, and Sony, as well as touch on the first look at Will Smith’s Genie in the live action Aladdin remake. All that, and much more, in this week’s Tower of Babble Podcast.

It’s been over a fortnight since the last full ToB Podcast but the guys are back to unpack a metric ton of nerdy news. Starting with Marvel, who certainly didn’t help lighten the news load, as they dropped both a Captain Marvel trailer AND a teaser for Avengers 4, now titled Avengers: Endgame. On top of that Disney released the first teaser for their Lion King remake, which quickly became an internet sensation. Plus, as we get closer to the premiere of Aquaman, DC treated us to even more footage with their final trailer. Julian, Dan and Jeremy also discuss the latest drama out of the Oscars, debate Christmas movie lists and question the strange Sonic the Hedgehog “motion poster”. All that, and much more, on this week’s Tower of Babble Podcast!

On this week’s show the guys unpack the Detective Pikachu trailer, discuss the official name and lineup of Disney’s streaming service, Disney+, dive into episode six of Titans and so much more. But unfortunately, it’s not all fun and games, as Julian, Daniel and Jeremy also look back on the legacy of Stan Lee after his passing.

Another big comic book movie release, another car-cast giving our immediate impressions right out of the theatre. This week sees Julian having watched Sony’s latest superhero romp, Venom. Julian gives a quick spoiler free review of a film that had nothing but bad buzz heading into it’s opening weekend but was still able to surprise in terms of it’s entertainment value, which might explain it’s, better than expected, box office performance.

With Jeremy jetting off to Europe it leaves just Julian and Dan to carry the load. Fortunately (or I suppose, unfortunately, depending on how you look at it) the last week was pretty light on news. The big story being The Academy announcing the addition of a new "popular film" award for The Oscars with almost no info and then dropping the mic and disappearing. Beyond that, the guys also break down a few smaller news bits and indulge in the tangents to pass the time. Plus! Make sure to stay after the credits to enjoy a rare "after dark" segment where Julian and Dan break free from the shackles of nerdome and talk about anything and everything. Enjoy!

What's this? Dan has arrived and he's brought with him beer? It's a miracle! The three continue the discussion by talking about Patrick Stewart's surprise Star Trek announcement, the budget for the live-action Star Wars show and review Alex Garland's Annihilation.
