But the show must go on, so to kick things off Julian takes us through his picks for this year's "summer movie wager" and rips Regal Theatres for some questionable business practices. Moving on, Fox announces 3 new X-Men movies for 2018, Kevin Feige talks about "Phase 4" of the MCU, the Avatar sequels get new release dates (again) and Jeff Goldblum joins the Jurassic World sequel. On the TV front we got our first tease of Marvel's Inhumans and, DC and WB announce a new "DC focused" streaming service that will feature Young Justice season 3 and a new Teen Titans live action series. Over with games, Call of Duty: WWII got a trailer, Nintendo revealed some impressive sales numbers and Injustice 2 continues its march towards launch. To wrap things up the guys shower praise all over the premier of American Gods on Starz, the latest show from Brian Fuller based on the work of Neil Gaiman. It's a big show this week and it kicks off with a bang as the guys play a Spider-Man themed version of Nerd Association in honour of the new trailer as well as discuss the news that Spidey might be leaving the MCU sooner than we thought. Moving on, and in what is quickly becoming a staple of the ToB Podcast, the Agree or Disagree segment returns, this time asking whether Rotten Tomatoes is truly the "destruction" of the movie business. On the TV front, Buffy celebrates 20 years, followed by briefly talking about several shows that had either their season or series finales including Legion on FX (A show that everyone should be watching) and Star Wars: Rebels (Another show everyone should be watching) and Black Sails. Plus, True Detective season three might happen after all! The show then continues into a bit of gaming news and a discussion on Mass Effect: Andromeda before closing out on a brief discussion on diversity in comics. After a... interesting American election the guys sit down to discuss the latest in geek news in an attempt to lighten the mood. Fortunately it has been a busy week with plenty to dissect. Starting on a high note Julian, Dan and Jeremy break down the latest Wonder Woman trailer and simultaneously get excited while also wondering if it'll be another DC disappointment. There was also news out of Marvel as Michael Keaton was confirmed as Vulture, Michael Giacchino will be scoring Spider-Man: Homecoming and a possible shakeup at Fox with the X-Men franchise. In TV news, the nerd world received a miracle as Young Justice season 3 was announced, more characters join The Defenders and Agents of SHIELD gives a fun nod to the original Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze. It was also N7 day recently and the ToB Crew unpack all the details out of the Mass Effect holiday. Finally, they review Doctor Strange, the latest movie out of the Marvel Machine starring non other than Benedict Cumberbatch. All this, and so much more, in this week's Tower of Babble Podcast!

Captain America: Civil War has been blowing up the box office and the ToB crew is here to throw in their opinion on the latest Marvel blockbuster. But since it's been so long, we also needed to check in with some of the biggest geek news stories we had missed. We give our take on some of the movie trailers that dropped over the last few weeks. Including; Dr. Strange, Jason Bourne, The Killing Joke and of course Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. We also touch on the latest at DC/Warner Brothers after BvS and look forward to whats coming from Marvel. We finish of the news with a chat about the two biggest shooter franchises in gaming, Battlefield and Call of Duty, who both announced their fall games for this year; Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite War. Finally, stick around after the show for a new/trial segment thats a bit less structured and allows us to cover some of the smaller stories that didn't quite make the cut for the news feed.

In terms of other film news the guys break down the Warcraft trailer that came out of Blizzcon as well as some news and rumours surrounding the next solo Batman film and a possible Witcher movie in the works. On the television front the full Jessica Jones trailer is discussed and talk about the latest with The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl. There were also some video game stories to discuss, not the least of which being all of the announcements out of the latest Nintendo Direct, including: FFVII's Cloud joining Smash Bros, Twilight Princess getting an HD remaster and a few tidbits from the next full Zelda game. They also touch on the new Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer and some of the big releases coming up. As per the norm, the guys finish off discussing what they've been watching and playing over the last few weeks.
